Stepantsminda-Larsi road closed to all vehicles
The Rescue Service has warned drivers about closed roads in Armenia as of Wednesday morning.
In particular, the roads linking the Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province are shut down.
The Vardenyats Mountain Pass is closed to trucks with trailers and is difficult for other vehicles to pass.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is closed to all vehicles.
Drivers are urged to use winter tires exclusively.
