Serzh Sargsyan: Armenia's leader admitted he 'deliberately sacrificed' Nagorno-Karabakh
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has acknowledged that he “deliberately sacrificed” Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh), former President Serzh Sargsyan claims.
Speaking to reporters after a court hearing in his trial on “corruption" charges on Thursday, Sargsyan accused the Armenian leader of telling “multiple lies” in his recent interview with the Public TV Company.
“I would like to emphasize that the Armenian leader admitted that he deliberately sacrificed Nagorno-Karabakh,” the ex-president stated.
“He is talking about some cudgels. So, for him the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh was used as a cudgel against Armenia? I just didn't understand what kind of cudgels he was talking about or who was using them? Did he refer to the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, who issued five statements emphasizing that the final status of Nagorno-Karabakh should be determined through free expression of will?
“Which country was he referring to? Maybe the country that supplied us free or discounted weapons worth billions, which Pashinyan completely surrendered to Azerbaijan. But at least we all understood his confession. The only credible thing he said is that he deliberately sacrificed Karabakh,” Sargsyan said.
