Academician Norayr Arakelyan dies at 87
Academician Norayr Arakelyan of Armenia’s National Academy of Sciences (NAS) passed away at the age of 87 on Friday.
“The NAS staff expresses condolences to academician Norayr Arakelyan’s family and colleagues. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him,” it said in a statement.
For his significant contribution to science, Norayr Arakelyan was honored with numerous awards and titles, including Honored Worker of Science of the Republic of Armenia (2003) and the Order of St. Mesrop Mashtots (2013).
