Former SRC chief comments on Crossroads of Peace project
The former chairman of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC) has dismissed the Crossroads of Peace project unveiled by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s government as “war reparations” imposed on Armenia.
The “Crossroads of Peace” project reportedly aims to enhance communication between Armenia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Iran through infrastructure development, including roads, railways, pipelines, cables and electricity lines.
“Creating communications with Turkey and Azerbaijan, which is stipulated by the “Crossroads of Peace” project, is essentially a war penalty imposed on Armenia,” Davit Ananyan told a program aired on 168 TV.
“It’s a political coercion in the form of war reparations," he added.
