Armenian Foreign Ministry 'shocked' by news of explosions in Iran
The Armenian Foreign Ministry is "shocked" by the news of explosions in Kerman, Iran, which killed more than 100 people and wounded scores on Wednesday.
Iran’s state media reported that at least two explosions occurred in the cemetery in the city of Kerman, where hundreds of people were commemorating Soleimani’s death four years ago. The feared general led Iran’s paramilitary Quds force before being killed by a U.S. drone strike in January 2020.
"Shocked by the news of explosions in Kerman city, Iran, causing death over 100 innocent civilians. Our thoughts and prayers are with the casualties and their families," the ministry posted on X.
