Stepantsminda-Larsi road closed to trucks
The Rescue Service has warned drivers about closed roads in Armenia as of Thursday afternoon.
In particular, the roads linking the Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province are shut down.
Snowfall is reported in the towns of Jermuk, Charentsavan and Hrazdan.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is closed to trucks.
Drivers are urged to use exclusively winter tires.
