Opposition MP: Azerbaijan seeks to snatch more from Armenia's authorities
Azerbaijan is attempting to push the 9 November 2020 trilateral statement of the Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani leaders in negotiations with Armenia, claiming that it envisages the opening of a corridor to Nakhichevan via Armenia’s Syunik Province, opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan says.
In a social media post on Friday, Abrahamyan, secretary of the opposition Pativ Unem faction, underlined that Azerbaijan ignored the document as it pleased and acted in its own way, using force to resolve issues.
"Now Baku has brought up this document again in fresh efforts to snatch something from the Armenian authorities,” he wrote.
“Azerbaijan's workstyle remains the same: to press ahead with something until the end. Nothing much has changed in the conduct of the Armenian authorities either: they continue to surrender and concede under the aegis of 'tactical retreats'," the MP added.
