Pashinyan offers condolences to Japanese PM over devastating earthquake
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has extended condolences to Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida following the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit Ishikawa Prefecture and the surrounding areas.
"I was deeply saddened to learn about the devastating earthquake and tsunami that occurred in Ishikawa Prefecture and the adjacent areas of Japan, which claimed the lives of dozens of people and caused widespread destruction,” he said in a message.
“At this difficult time, Armenia and the Armenian people stand with the friendly people of Japan. I am convinced that due to the decisive actions of the Japanese government the severe consequences of the natural disaster will be quickly overcome.
“I express my condolences and support to the families of the disaster victims, wishing tenacity and a speedy recovery to the wounded,” reads the message.
