Drivers warned about black ice on some roads in Armenia
The Rescue Service has warned drivers about road closures and icy conditions in Armenia as of Friday morning.
In particular, the roads linking the Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province are closed to traffic.
Drivers are warned to watch out for black ice on the Jermuk roads, Saravan-Zanger and Sisian-Zanger roadways.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is closed to trucks.
