Snowstorm hits Armenia's Ashotsk
The Rescue Service has warned drivers that some roads are closed or heavy going in Armenia on Saturday morning.
In particular, the roads linking the Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province are closed to traffic.
The Tigranashen turns and Vardenyats pass are difficult to pass for trailer trucks.
Drivers are warned to watch out for black ice on the Aparan region roads, Mastara-Lanjik and Sisian-Zanger roadways.
Snowstorm is reported in the Ashotsk region.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is closed to trucks.
