Prosecutors seek re-arrest of General Grigori Khachaturov
The Prosecutor General’s Office has requested Armenia’s Court of Cassation to re-arrest Major-General Grigori Khachaturov, Panorama.am reported on Monday, citing the law-enforcement agency.
Khachaturov was arrested on 16 March last year on charges of money laundering strongly denied by him. A Yerevan first instance court allowed prosecutors to again extend his pre-trial detention in November.
The Anti-Corruption Court of Appeals released him on bail on December 1. At the same time, the general was placed under administrative control involving restrictions on his freedom of movement and communication.
