Azerbaijan 'waging war' on cross-stones in Artsakh
After the genocide and ethnic cleansing in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), Azerbaijan has now waged war on Armenian cross-stones (khachkars) there, the Artsakh Monuments reported.
“The Azerbaijanis have destroyed the cross-stone memorial spring commemorating Harut Babayan and Garik Mnatsakanyan on Daniel Varuzhan Street in the town of Martakert," it said in a statement on Sunday.
The monument was erected in October 2021 with the personal funds of Harut Babayan’s father, Rashid Babayan, the statement added.
