Armenian soldier arrested for killing officer
An Armenian army soldier has been arrested on suspicion of killing an officer, the Armenian Investigative Committee said.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Defense Ministry said that contract officer Karen Karapetyan was found dead with a gunshot wound at a combat outpost at around 6:20 a.m.
According to preliminary data, the gunshot wound was inflicted on him by the serviceman on combat duty.
The conscript was detained on reasonable suspicion of committing murder, the law-enforcement agency said.
Necessary measures are being taken to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
