Greece supports strengthening of Armenia-EU ties
Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis confirmed high level of relations between Armenia and Greece and expressed readiness to further develop them.
Speaking at a joint news conference with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan on Wednesday, he highlighted the strong historical relations between Greece and Armenia.
The Greek official welcomed the strengthening of Armenia-EU ties and the deployment of an EU monitoring mission in Armenia.
“Greece is following the developments in the South Caucasus, we have expressed our solidarity with the Armenian people and delivered humanitarian aid after the mass violent actions against the population of Nagorno-Karabakh,” Gerapetritis said, adding Greece supports the dialogue between countries aimed at establishing peace and stability in the region, and friendly relations between neighboring countries.
