No increase in Armenia's state pensions expected in 2024, minister says
State pensions in Armenia are not expected to rise in 2024, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan said on Wednesday.
"We will not increase pensions in 2024," he told a news conference.
Meanwhile, the minister said state pensions were set to increase in 2025.
Mkrtchyan highlighted the 10% cashback program for pensioners who make non-cash payments, recalling that the total amount of cashback may not exceed 5,000 drams a month.
“This effectively amounts to a pension increase,” he added.
