Vardan Ghukasyan expelled from Public Voice Party
U.S.-based Armenian blogger Vardan Ghukasyan, better known as "Dog", has been expelled from the Public Voice Party, it said in a statement on Thursday.
At its management board meeting on Wednesday, the party said it “revealed” that Ghukasyan, a Public Voice board member, also held Russian citizenship and was registered in the city of Kaliningrad, Russia.
“Pursuant to Clause 3.8.5 of the party statute, in case of obtaining citizenship of another country, his/her party membership is terminated. Thus, Vardan Ghukasan's membership in the party has been terminated,” reads the statement.
11 other board members were also expelled from the party at their own request.
