Ex-Yerevan museum director challenges dismissal in court
Ani Yeghiazaryan, the former director of Yerevan’s Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum, has challenged the Armenian government’s decision to remove her from office in court.
In a lawsuit filed against the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, she asked the Civil Court to invalidate Minister Zhanna Anderasyan's 27 October order on her dismissal.
Speaking with Panorama.am, Yeghiazaryan said that she expressed her disagreement with the minister's decision in the lawsuit.
Meanwhile, the woman stressed that she continued to help the museum staff cope with the “internal crisis”, providing professional support to her former colleagues.
Artsakh’s former Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Lusine Gharakhanyan was installed as acting director of the museum on Thursday.
