Opposition MP: Armenian leadership tries to evade responsibility for 'new concessions'
Opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan accused the Armenian authorities of attempts to evade responsibility for new concessions they are planning to make to Azerbaijan.
"Strikingly, with regard to the territories to be ceded to Azerbaijan or other concessions, the authorities outline in advance the circle of those responsible for them before starting an attack,” he wrote on Facebook on Thursday.
“Yesterday, against the background of dangerous trends in the negotiations, the authorities suddenly "remembered" that the issue of the "corridor" has always been there,” said the deputy from the opposition Pativ Unem faction.
He referred to jailed opposition politician Armen Ashotyan’s analysis on the matter on Wednesday.
“In addition to debunking this absolute nonsense, he distinctly showed how the Pashinyan government’s failures led to the emergence of the "corridor" narrative in the peace process," Abrahamyan noted.
"The more concessions and possible border escalations are brought to the forefront, the more nervous the authorities become, resorting to their favorite method of finding new targets in an effort to evade responsibility," he added.
