Armenian diplomat expresses concern about latest statements from Baku
Armenian Ambassador to Russia Vagharshak Harutyunyan has met with Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin to express concern about statements from Azerbaijan.
They exchanged views on regional security issues at the meeting on Thursday.
“Ambassador Harutyunyan briefed his interlocutor on the latest developments in the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, expressing concern about the latest statements by Baku,” the Armenian Embassy in Russia said in a statement.
“The Ambassador highlighted the fundamental principles on which Armenia's position is based regarding the mutual respect for territorial integrity, ensuring the delimitation process based on the latest maps of the Soviet Union and unblocking regional communications based on the principles of sovereignty, jurisdiction, equality and reciprocity between the countries," it added.
