Armenia probing how sheep crossed into Azerbaijan: Defense Ministry
Armenia is probing how sheep crossed into Azerbaijan from Aravus, a border village in the Tegh community of Armenia’s Syunik Province, the Defense Ministry said.
Tegh community head David Gulunts told Panorama.am that Azeri soldiers stole sheep from the village pasture near the Armenian-Azeri border on Friday morning.
“The competent authorities are investigating the circumstances in which the sheep crossed into Azerbaijani territory,” Defense Ministry spokesman Aram Torosyan told Panorama.
"The Defense Ministry duly informs the public about the frontline situation, border incidents and violations. Not a single incident or ceasefire violation, let alone an attempted subversive attack have been recorded. A probe is currently underway to find out the circumstances of sheep crossing into Azerbaijan.
“The relevant subdivision of the Defense Ministry monitors media reports concerning the sphere and reacts to them as necessary," he added.
