Opposition MP hails launch of Artsakh repatriation committee
Armenian opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan has hailed the launch of a political committee seeking the repatriation of the displaced Artsakh Armenians.
The key mission of the committee set up by Artsakh’s main political factions is to pursue the collective repatriation of the Artsakh people and to ensure their right to live safely in their homeland under international guarantees.
Former Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian is set to coordinate its activities.
“The Armenian authorities’ disgraceful efforts to close the Artsakh issue through blackmail and threats are a total failure,” Abrahamyan, the secretary of the opposition Pativ Unem faction, wrote on Facebook on Saturday.
"Incidentally, only the authorities of Armenia and Azerbaijan are doing their best to make the Artsakh issue nonexistent," he added.
