Marriage rate down in Armenia in 2023
The marriage rare declined in Armenia in the first eleven months of last year, according to latest data from the Statistical Committee.
In January-November 2023, 15,051 marriages were registered in the country compared to the previous year's 15,508 marriages.
Meanwhile, the divorce rate increased from 4,115 to 4,165 in eleven months last year.
A total of 33,262 babies were born in Armenia in 2023, up by 63 from the same months of 2022.
Armenia also saw a decline in mortality rates. 22,184 deaths were recorded in the country in January-November 2023, 2,339 less than the number of deaths registered in 2022.
