Radio Sputnik Armenia to resume broadcasting on Jan. 25
Armenia’s National Commission on Television and Radio has lifted the ban on the radio broadcast of Russia’s state-run Sputnik news agency in Armenia.
The license of Tospa, the broadcaster of Radio Sputnik Armenia, was suspended for 30 days in late December over Russian TV presenter Tigran Keosayan's "ironic and offensive" comments about Armenia.
The radio broadcast is set to resume on 25 January.
"The minimum requirements for the resumption of broadcasting have been fulfilled. They may have been fulfilled with some omissions and reservations, but the commission would not like to focus on these trivial matters," its head, Tigran Hakobyan, said on Tuesday.
