Pashinyan highlights Belgium's decision to open embassy in Armenia
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Tuesday received Belgian Ambassador to Armenia Eric De Muynck, the premier's office reported.
"The Prime Minister congratulated the Ambassador on assuming the post and wished him success in his future activities for the further development and strengthening of Armenian-Belgian relations. Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the decision of the Belgian government to open an embassy in Armenia and expressed confidence that as a result of this, the cooperation between the two countries will expand in all fields. The Prime Minister emphasized Beliga's support for effective implementation of democratic reforms in Armenia," the office said in its readout.
"Eric De Muynck noted that he will make all efforts for the continuous development of bilateral relations. The Ambassador emphasized the promotion of trade and economic cooperation, as well as the implementation of joint projects in other areas," it added.
They expressed belief that the close cooperation between Armenia and Belgium also contributes to the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union and its development.
