Pashinyan says employment reached record high in Armenia in December
The number of jobs rose to a “record high” in Armenia in December 2023, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a cabinet meeting on Thursday.
“In December 2023, the number of jobs hit a record high of 741,726, up by 193,737 from May 2018, which means that 193,737 jobs were opened in Armenia from May 2018,” he said.
Referring to the salary fund, Pashinyan noted. "In December 2023, the salary fund amounted to 264 billion 188 million drams, which is 167 billion 501 million dollars or 173 percent more than in 2018. In other words, the gross salary has increased by 173% since May 2018, and by 13.3% or 31 billion drams since December last year."
