'Turbulent times lie ahead,' says Armenian political analyst
Feelings of revenge are normal among humiliated nations. If there is no revenge, the nation accepts its defeat and leaves the “arena” of history, political analyst Stepan Danielyan claims, adding revenge implies first of all a “work of mind.”
According to him, national and conservative forces with progressive vectors could come to power in Armenia.
"At the same time, this is a global trend, globalism is losing ground both morally and economically. Global trade communications are also a failure,” he wrote on Facebook on Saturday.
“The current government adheres to the value system of its predecessors, but in a more radical and cynical way. The return to previous attitudes and values is useless. The new political program should be different both from the current one and the previous ones. It is not about people, but about a political platform, which needs to be created," the expert stated.
He believes real political activity is not about holding rallies and protests or setting up election headquarters, but creating a different political platform.
“In brief, very responsible and turbulent times lie ahead. In addition, united opposition is a wrong category. A united opposition is a fuzzy and unviable mob, while a minority with a clear stance wins," Danielyan said.
