Situation along Armenia-Azerbaijan border relatively stable, minister says
The situation along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border is characterized by relative stability, Defense Minister Suren Papikyan said on Friday.
“At this point, the border situation can be characterized as relatively stable,” he told the Public TV Company in an interview.
"There are no buildups of troops on the border. Thus, the situation in recent months can be characterized as stable and calm," the minister said.
Papikyan stated that 2023 was a difficult year for the Armenian armed forces that faced many problems. At the same time, he claimed that institutional reforms were carried out in the army.
