Two people rescued from rubble of collapsed house in Yerevan
A man has been pulled out alive from the rubble of a collapsed house in Yerevan, Armenian Interior Ministry spokesman Narek Sargsyan said.
“Another resident, a woman, remains trapped in the rubble, she is making a sound,” he told reports, adding rescuers are also searching for other trapped people.
Citing preliminary data, Sargsyan said two houses collapsed and several others were damaged following an explosion in Nor Aresh, a neighborhood in Yerevan's Erebuni district, on Monday morning.
An investigation is yet to determine the cause of the explosion.
A Panorama.am correspondent reports on the ground that the trapped woman has also been rescued.
