Armenian parliament majority passes all bills on agenda
Lawmakers representing Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party adopted all bills on the agenda of a parliament sitting on Wednesday and moved to debates on a candidate of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) member.
The Civil Contract faction has nominated Karen Tumanyan for the vacant post.
The bills passed at today’s sitting called for amendments and supplements to Armenia’s Water Code, Civil Procedure Code and Code on Administrative Offences, as well as the laws on medical care and services, state duties, vocational education, audiovisual media services, gambling, cumulative pensions, prosecution and domestic violence.
Opposition MPs either voted against the draft laws or abstained from voting.
