U.S. Embassy offers condolences on demise of Gagik Ginosyan
The U.S. Embassy in Armenia has extended condolences on the passing of Gagik Ginosyan, a celebrated Armenian dance choreographer.
"It is with great sorrow that we have learned of the passing of Gagik Ginosyan, a long-time partner of the U.S. Embassy in Armenia. In 2010 Mr. Ginosyan undertook the preservation of Armenian traditional dances under the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation program," the embassy said in a statement on Thursday.
"The U.S. Embassy would like to offer sincere condolences to Mr. Ginosyan’s family, friends, and colleagues," it added.
Ginosyan, the founder of Karin Armenian Folk Song and Dance Group, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 57.
