Russia ready to facilitate safe return of Armenians to Karabakh, top diplomat says
Nagorno-Karabakh is currently being integrated into the legal field of Azerbaijan, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin has said.
“Unfortunately, the majority of Karabakh Armenians have left the region. It was their hard but voluntary choice,” the diplomat told TASS in an interview on Saturday.
“In this regard, it is important to create conditions for the return of those who wish to do so, while ensuring their rights and security. We are ready to provide all possible assistance to this process, including through the Russian peacekeeping contingent, whose presence is of great importance,” he noted.
