Azerbaijan stops shooting at Armenian positions
The Azerbaijani military has stopped shooting at the Armenian combat outposts near Nerkin Hand, a village in Syunik Province, the Defense Ministry reports.
"As of 9:30 a.m., the firing by Azerbaijani armed forces on Armenian combat positions in the vicinity of Nerkin Hand has ceased," the ministry said in a statement.
"The Ministry of Ministry urges partner media outlets not to disseminate unverified information, to refrain from referencing individuals with insufficient and inaccurate frontline information, and to rely on official reports from the MoD.
"The Ministry of Ministry will issue additional official statements regarding Armenian casualties and the health condition of the wounded," it added.
According to preliminary reports, two Armenian soldiers were killed and several others were wounded in the Azeri cross-border fire that began in the early hours of Tuesday.
