Armenian envoy insists on sanctions against Azerbaijan
Armenia's Ambassador-at-Large Edmon Marukyan has insisted on sanctions against Azerbaijan following its latest deadly attack, stressing that impunity provokes new crimes.
Four Armenian soldiers were killed and another was wounded when their combat positions near the village of Nerkin Hand in Syunik Province came under Azerbaijani fire early on Tuesday.
"When you are not sanctioned for occupation of the sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia, when you are not sanctioned for aggressive unprovoked war against peaceful people of Nagorno Karabakh and ethnic cleansing of more than 100k people of Nagorno Karabakh from their ancestral lands and homes, then you aggressively attack your neighbor killing more peaceful people. I am talking about the leadership of Azerbaijan implying that impunity provokes new crimes," Marukyan posted on X on Wednesday.
