Criminal case involving oppositionists to be heard by judge Karen Farkhoyan
The criminal case involving Armenian opposition MP Levon Kocharyan and his friend Sergey Asaturov has been assigned to judge Karen Farkhoyan, their lawyer Alexander Kochubayev reports.
They have been charged with attacking police officers during anti-government protests in Yerevan in September 2023.
Levon Kocharyan was detained on 22 September and was hospitalized later that day with a concussion attributed to his being "severely beaten" by police.
He was released after becoming an MP in November.
