Authorities reportedly searched office of ex-minister Vahan Kerobyan
Former Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan was summoned to the National Security Service (NSS) on Thursday and could soon face charges as part of a corruption probe in the Ministry of Economy.
Citing its sources, Hraparak reports that law enforcement officers have carried out a search at Kerobyan’s office.
Separately, RFE/RL’s Armenian Service said that Kerobyan, who submitted resignation on Wednesday, arrived at the Investigative Committee a short while ago apparently for questioning.
He told RFE/RL that he was not a defendant and had not yet been questioned before entering the building of the Investigative Committee.
The Armenian Investigative Committee has not given any reason for Kerobyan’s summoning.
