Pro-government MP comments on his possible appointment as economy minister
MP Gevorg Papoyan of Armenia’s ruling Civil Contact party has commented on reports of his possible appointment as new economy minister.
Speaking with reporters on Monday, the deputy said he knew nothing of such a decision.
“I'm not the one to decide,” Papoyan added.
Vahan Kerobyan stepped down as economy minister on February 14, one day before being charged as part of a corruption investigation in the Ministry of Economy regarding the alleged rigging of a procurement tender.
He has been placed under house arrest for two months.
