Opposition politician insists on Pashinyan’s ouster to save Armenia
Arrested opposition politician Armen Ashotyan insists on the ouster of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his cabinet to stop new losses and save Armenia.
"After 9 November 2020, the Armenian people failed to take the key step to prevent new wars, losses and concessions. They did not unseat Nikol and did not hold accountable those responsible for colossal territorial losses and casualties. Aliyev will remain unpunished as long as Nikol is unpunished,” Pashinyan, the RPA deputy chairman, replied to a Facebook user’s question from prison on Monday.
He pointed to lack of effective domestic and foreign security mechanisms, accusing Pashinyan of “disbanding” the Armenian army.
“Pashinyan has turned Armenia into a geopolitical beggar, destroying the old defense system under the pretext of diversification and not creating a new one,” the oppositionist said.
“Armenia will have a chance to survive only if the Armenian people remove Nikol Pashinyan from power, thus all the roads to salvation are leading to Republic Square,” he stated.
