Artsakh president's bodyguard reportedly arrested in Yerevan
Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan’s security guard, Ashot Danielyan, has reportedly been arrested.
Armenian Interior Ministry spokesman Narek Sarkisyan told Pastinfo without revealing any names that police officers “detained a citizen on suspicion of possession and sales of drugs” on Moskovyan Street in Yerevan on Tuesday. He was taken to the central police station and then handed over to the preliminary investigation body.
Criminal proceedings were initiated.
It came after an incident involving Ashot Danielyan and the cameraman of 24 News in the Yerablur Military Pantheon, which caused an uproar. The Artsakh InfoCenter issued a statement of apology after it.
Nevertheless, law enforcement authorities arrested Ashot Danielyan, but for a completely different reason, Pastinfo said.
