Security chief: Armenia received new peace proposals from Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan’s increasing arms purchases do not contribute to the stabilization of the situation in the South Caucasus region, Secretary of the Armenian Security Council Armen Grigoryan told reporters in the parliament on Wednesday, adding Yerevan has repeatedly raised the issue.
He recalled Armenia’s proposal for a mutual arms control mechanism which could contribute to the establishment of peace and stability in the region.
Armen Grigoryan also revealed that Yerevan had received another package of proposals on the bilateral peace treaty from Baku.
The security chief recalled that at the meeting of Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev in Munich an agreement was reached on a meeting of the foreign ministers and deputy prime ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, with its exact data ad venue yet to be agreed on.
"We continue to work. I think that the peace treaty will be discussed at the meeting of the foreign ministers," Grigoryan said.
