Fallen soldier's father hospitalized
Garik Galeyan, whose soldier son Mkhitar was killed in the 2020 Artsakh war, has been hospitalized after a suspected heart attack, his lawyer has revealed.
A critic of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his government, Galeyan has been charged with “hooliganism” and “use of drugs”.
“Garik Galeyan’s condition deteriorated sharply after the court extended his house arrest in the latest hearing, thus depriving him of the opportunity to visit his son's grave in the Yerablur Military Pantheon,” his attorney Vahan Hovhannisyan said on Saturday.
“On the morning of February 23, he was hospitalized with a suspected heart attack. He is in intensive care. His condition is so severe that he cannot undergo surgery for the time being," the lawyer added.
