Kremlin insists on clarity from Armenia over CSTO
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov says that there is no clarity yet on Armenia's position on its withdrawal from the Russian-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
In an interview to France 24 last week, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Armenia had frozen its participation in the CSTO because the security bloc had failed the country.
"No, there is no clarity so far. We have quite frequent contacts with our Armenian partners here. Of course, we will seek clarity [on Pashinyan's statements]. Based on the relevant documents, there is no such regime in the CSTO plan," Peskov told reporters on Monday.
