Armenian parliament to elect new top court judge at plenary session
The National Assembly of Armenia started a plenary session on Tuesday with 28 items on the agenda.
Lawmakers are set to elect a new judge of the Constitutional Court, as well as chairs of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) and the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC).
The General Assembly of Judges has nominated David Balayan to become a Constitutional Court judge.
Garegin Baghramyan and Gegham Gevorgyan have been nominated as the PSRC and SCPEC chairmen, respectively, by the Armenian government.
