Parents sue Armenian education minister over history textbook
Parents of school students have sued Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan over the 7th grade history textbook.
“We’ve filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports in the Administrative Court along with parents of 7th grade students,” lawyer Ara Zohrabyan wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
“The lawsuit asks the court to invalidate the minister’s order dated 3 August 2023 sanctioning the 7th grade Armenian History textbook by S. Hovhannisyan who calls Movses Khorenatsi’s history a myth and discredits the Armenian history,” he added.
