U.S. continues to encourage Armenia, Azerbaijan to reach lasting agreement
The Unites States continues to encourage Armenia and Azerbaijan to try to reach a durable and lasting agreement, U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said at a press briefing on Tuesday.
He was asked to comment on the meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers to be held in Berlin on Wednesday.
“I know the Secretary wanted to have them here in Washington since December. Is it the end of the Washington process? And also, what is your expectation from tomorrow’s meeting?” a reporter asked.
“I don’t have any announcements to make, but we continue to encourage both sides to try to reach a durable, lasting agreement,” Miller replied.
