Kazakh deputy FM reacts to Pashinyan's statement on CSTO
Kazakhstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Roman Vassilenko has commented on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement on the suspension of Armenia's participation in the Russian-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
"The CSTO has played and will play an important role for the security of the Republic of Kazakhstan," Sputnik Kazakhstan quoted him as telling reporters at the Senate on Thursday.
Vassilenko highlighted that Kazakhstan's representative is currently the organization's secretary general and the country is trying to strengthen the security bloc.
"I have no information that Armenia has frozen or is freezing its membership. Armenia has not taken any legal action to suspend its membership in the CSTO," the Kazakh deputy FM said.
