Serzh Sargsyan posts tribute to Vazgen Sargsyan on his birthday
Armenia’s third President and RPA Chairman Serzh Sargsyan has paid tribute to legendary commander Vazgen Sargsyan on his 65th birthday marked on March 5.
A video posted on the former president’s Instagram page features his statements on the commander in the government and parliament, as well as in the Yerablur Military Pantheon.
“Happy Birthday, dear Vazgen!” the video caption reads.
“On October 27, I lost a friend, a comrade-in-arms, a fellow man, thanks to whose will and power we managed to carry out very important deeds. No one is aware of Vazgen Sargsyan's plans, dreams and aspirations better than me. And let no one and nowhere manipulate this fact. I miss Vazgen dearly,” Sargsyan says in the video.
Vazgen Sargsyan was assassinated during the Armenian parliament attack on October 27, 1999.
