Russian diplomat says Sochi and Kapan may become sister cities
The Russian city of Sochi and Armenia’s Kapan could become sister cities, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova says.
According to her, the Sochi city administration is building constructive interaction with municipalities of the Customs Union countries, maintaining high dynamics of contacts with its partners from Abkhazia and China.
"In September 2023, an agreement was signed on the establishment of friendly relations between Sochi and Minsk. The issue of establishing sister city relationship with the cities of Varadero (Cuba), Kapan (Armenia) and Acapulco (Mexico) is being discussed," Zakharova said on Wednesday.
