Political analyst: Armenians play the role of Kurds in Caucasus
Kurds play a special role in the Middle East, claims political analyst Stepan Danielyan.
“When it is necessary to solve some problems with Turkey, Syria or Iran, they involve Kurds, give them hopes and use them as “cannon fodder". Then, when it is necessary to normalize relations with these countries, Kurds are sacrificed. And this scenario is recurring. In fact, Kurds are just a playing card,” he wrote on Facebook on Thursday.
“Armenians play a similar role in the Caucasus: they give us hope, lead us to death and make peace with each other at our expense as they please. And this is what all sides do, regardless of whether they are liberals or democrats, authoritarians or conservatives,” the analyst said.
