Aeroflot Open: Armenia's Haik Martirosyan finishes fourth
The international chess tournament Aeroflot Open 2024 came to a close in Moscow, Russia, on Thursday.
The winner of the tournament became GM Amin Tabatabaei, who scored 7.5 points out of 9. He only lost to Armenian IM Arsen Davtyan, the Armenian Chess Federation reported.
GM Haik Martirosyan scored 6.5 points and shared the 2-5th places. With the additional tiebreakers, Haik came in fourth.
GM Manuel Petrosyan scored 6 points and took the 7th place.
GM Samvel Ter-Sahakyan also scored 6 points, but took the 16th place with additional tiebreakers.
FM Erik Hakobyan and FM Erik Gasparyan fulfilled the IM norms.
