Erdogan compares Netanyahu to Hitler
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan compares Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini, The Times of Israel reports.
“Netanyahu and his administration, with their crimes against humanity in Gaza, are writing their names next to Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin, like today’s Nazis,” Erdogan says in a speech in Istanbul.
Erdogan has been one of the most virulent critics of Israel since the start of the war in Gaza, which began after an October 7 assault by Hamas on Israel that killed some 1,200 people and saw another 253 taken hostage.
Erdogan has previously called Israel a “terrorist state” and accused it of conducting a “genocide” in Gaza.
Earlier in his speech, he again refused to recognize Hamas as a terror group and says Turkey firmly backs Hamas and its leaders.
